THE MOST PRODUCTIVE LARGE-FORMAT 3D PRINTER

CUBE

Main description

LARGE-FORMAT AT ITS FINEST

Imagine printing parts up to 1 m³ in a single pass — no assemblies, no size limits.

Meet CUBE, the most productive machine on the market, with a deposition rate of 400 mm³/s and an IDEX system that lets you double your output by printing two parts at once, working in mirror mode, or creating multimaterial prints with total ease.

Its 420 °C hotends, combined with a 100 °C removable heated bed that stays perfectly flat across the entire temperature range (patented system) and a closed chamber, ensure consistent surface finishes throughout the full build volume and easy part removal.

Control every print from its HDMI touchscreen or remotely from home thanks to encrypted remote access, while its robust construction, liquid-cooled hotends, and automatic recovery after failure ensure continuous 24/7 operation.

Take full advantage of its open material system and compatibility with slicers like Orcaslicer, Prusaslicer, or Cura.

Features

EXTREME BUILD VOLUME

Impresión IDEX

With a build volume of 1000 × 1000 × 1000 mm — expandable — CUBE enables the creation of single-piece objects with complex geometries and specific mechanical requirements. Stop splitting parts and start printing full-scale.

OVERWHELMING DEPOSITION RATE

Impresión IDEX

Thanks to the high-flow extruders designed by the R3DIMENSION team, CUBE achieves the highest deposition rate on the market for 2.85 mm filament — 200 mm³/s per head. With IDEX technology, this allows a combined deposition rate of 400 mm³/s (around 1800 g/h), significantly reducing print times.

PERFECTLY FLAT AND REMOVABLE PRINT PLAFTORM

Undoubtedly, one of the biggest challenges in large-format printing is bed flatness — a problem that becomes even more critical in IDEX systems, where the well-known “bed mesh” compensation can’t be used.

R3DIMENSION features a patented bed system that ensures perfect flatness across the entire temperature range.

Forget about first-layer issues and warped parts!

R3DIMENSION CUBE – Frequently Asked Questions

Technical answers to some of the most common questions about R3DIMENSION CUBE, our industrial large-format IDEX 3D printer with high-flow extrusion and optional pellet configuration.

Who is CUBE designed for?

CUBE is designed for professional and industrial users who need to manufacture large parts with high material flow rates and reduced production times.

It offers a build volume of 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm, equivalent to 1 m3 of manufacturing capacity.

Its architecture is particularly suited to applications where part size, productivity and deposition capability are key requirements.

  • Large functional prototypes
  • Molds, patterns and tooling
  • Jigs, fixtures and manufacturing aids
  • Automotive and transportation components
  • Large industrial applications
  • Low-volume production
  • Large parts manufactured with high-flow nozzles
  • Pellet extrusion applications
  • Simultaneous production using IDEX Copy Mode

CUBE is particularly suitable for companies that need to manufacture large components and want to maximize the amount of material deposited per unit of time.

What materials can CUBE print?

CUBE uses an open material system and can be configured to work with 2.85 mm filament and, optionally, pellet extrusion.

In filament configuration, it can process materials such as ABS, ASA, PETG, PLA, PA, Nylon and other engineering thermoplastics compatible with the extrusion system.

The filament hotends can reach temperatures of up to 420 C and the heated bed can reach 100 C.

The machine can also be equipped with thermal insulation and a heated chamber for applications where temperature control is especially important, such as large-format ABS printing.

In pellet configurations, material compatibility depends on the material itself, pellet geometry, extrusion system and specific application requirements.

Because CUBE uses an open material system, users are not restricted to proprietary R3DIMENSION materials.

How much material can CUBE deposit?

CUBE is designed to operate at high extrusion flow rates, especially in large-format applications where productivity is a key requirement.

In filament configuration, each extruder can reach approximately 200 mm3/s of volumetric flow.

Thanks to the IDEX system, both printheads can operate simultaneously in Copy Mode, allowing a combined deposition capability of approximately 400 mm3/s when the application allows both extruders to work at the same time.

With certain materials and configurations, this can represent a total deposition capacity close to 1.8 kg/h during simultaneous operation.

In pellet configuration, CUBE can be equipped with different extrusion systems depending on production requirements.

A standard pellet configuration can reach approximately 0.8 kg/h, while high-flow configurations can reach approximately 2.5 kg/h.

Actual flow rate depends on material, temperature, pellet size, nozzle diameter, layer height and part geometry.

Can CUBE work with pellet and filament?

Yes. CUBE can be configured with one pellet extruder and one filament extruder within its IDEX architecture.

This configuration allows pellet to be used for applications where high productivity and lower raw material cost are priorities, while retaining a filament extruder for applications that require greater control, specific materials or different printing strategies.

For users who work exclusively with pellet, CUBE can also be configured with two pellet extrusion systems.

Likewise, the standard filament configuration uses two independent filament extruders.

The final printhead configuration is defined according to the customer’s application and material requirements.

How does the CUBE IDEX system work?

IDEX stands for Independent Dual Extruder.

CUBE uses two independently moving printheads instead of mounting both extrusion systems on the same carriage.

This architecture allows several operating modes.

  • Single Mode: one printhead manufactures the complete part.
  • Copy Mode: both printheads manufacture the same component simultaneously.
  • Mirror Mode: both printheads manufacture mirrored versions of the same component during the same production cycle.
  • Multimaterial Mode: the two printheads can use different materials or extrusion systems when the machine configuration allows it.

Copy Mode can be particularly useful for production, as it allows two components to be manufactured simultaneously while taking advantage of both extrusion systems.

The independent movement of the printheads also allows the inactive extruder to remain away from the printed part.

What is the difference between CUBE and IDENTITY?

CUBE and IDENTITY are both industrial large-format IDEX 3D printers, but they are designed around different manufacturing priorities.

Specification CUBE IDENTITY
Build volume 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm 1120 x 720 x 620 mm
Architecture IDEX IDEX
Filament diameter 2.85 mm 1.75 mm
Maximum hotend temperature 420 C 500 C
Maximum bed temperature 100 C 120 C
Approximate flow per filament extruder 200 mm3/s 85 mm3/s
Pellet extrusion Optional No
Main focus Build volume and productivity Technical materials and versatility

CUBE is more focused on applications where build volume, part size and material throughput are the main priorities.

Its 1 m3 build volume, 2.85 mm filament system, larger nozzle options and optional pellet extrusion make it suitable for high-productivity large-format manufacturing.

IDENTITY is more focused on applications that require greater filament versatility, higher processing temperatures and a platform designed for technical materials.

The choice between both machines mainly depends on part size, material, required productivity, level of detail and manufacturing strategy.

What installation requirements does CUBE have?

CUBE is designed for installation in professional workshops, laboratories and industrial production environments.

The exact installation requirements depend on the selected configuration, especially if the machine includes thermal insulation, a heated chamber or pellet extrusion systems.

In general, installation requires:

  • Power supply: electrical installation suitable for the final machine configuration.
  • Installation surface: a stable and level industrial floor.
  • Working space: sufficient space around the machine for installation, operation and maintenance.
  • Network connection: recommended for monitoring, control and remote access.
  • Ventilation: suitable for the materials being processed and the requirements of the working environment.

Before delivery, R3DIMENSION can provide the complete installation requirements corresponding to the specific CUBE configuration purchased by the customer.
